All professional tax preparers under ASAP will need an email account dedicated for your tax clients. The email address is free, and should look like such… Example if your name is Alvin it would look like “Alvinasaptax@gmail.com” All professional tax preparers will also need a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) to file their clients’ tax returns.

To obtain the PTIN you will need to provide the following.

  • Social Security Number
  • Personal information (name, mailing address, date of birth).
  • Business information (name, mailing address, telephone number).
  • Previous year’s individual tax return (name, address, filing status) 
  • Any certification information (including certification number, jurisdiction of issuance, and expiration date) for all certifications you hold including CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, etc. 

NOTE: If you applied for and received a PTIN to file tax returns last tax season, you will need to renew your PTIN. Once you’ve obtained your email address and PTIN please complete the form below.
